How to Save Money and Feel Rich

Beware of little expenses, a small leak will sink a great ship. — Benjamin Franklin

In these rough financial times that we are living in many people are trying to live on a tight budget. They are not just paying bills, but trying to attain financial freedom. There is a certain amount of sacrifice that’s require, though, to be sailing on a yacht in the future. And so, it necessary to shift your focus to the future instead of on getting satisfaction in the present. I recognize that living on a budget can make you feel poor, depressed and/or cheep. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. You can still live abundantly. There are practical things you can do that’ll allow you to enjoy life’s pleasures and feel rich. Most importantly, they won’t mess up your budget

Cook ELEgant meals at home

Instead of dining at overpriced restaurants, you can make elegant meals at home.   Opulence is in the details. Make it taste extra delicious so your taste buds can slow dance with the flavors. Also, have each dish look more appetizing than what you’d spend ten times the price for at your favorite restaurant. Why spend money on avocado toast when you could make it for a fraction of the cost?  Go all out. Put the food on nice stylish dinnerware rather than your everyday ones.  Bring out your linen napkins and nice glasses et voila a high-end restaurant experience.

INvest in a home Coffee brewing system

A lot of people spend well over $2000/year on specialty coffee and food at cafes. Meanwhile, their credit-card balance is nowhere near zero.  If you skipped the trip to Starbucks and invested in a home brewing system, you’d save a lot. That fancy cup of coffee will be worth more to you because you took the time to prepare it yourself.

Have spa days at home

A spa day at home could be as simple as combining your bath with a face mask. To make the experience more spa-like, toss in chamomile, which helps calm and softens the skin. While soaking , I like to light candles and play some music. Sometimes I sip champagne and drop a strawberry in the glass. Why not?

Buy Affordable classic clothes

Through crafty marketing, the fashion industry lures us to buy clothes every season to keep up with the new trends. Also, high-end designer brands tempt us because we think we’re “paying for higher quality”. If you are living on a budget, you’ll want to avoid both extremes. Make the smart choice. Buying garments that you need, look good on you, are timeless, and agree with your budget. To add, as long as they are good quality, buy elegant and classic clothes that are mid-tier brands. This is a sweet spot where price equals value.
