Disappointments are inevitable, but discouragement is a choice. – Unknown
That quote is an anchor for my soul when life tosses me to and fro. It helps me to remain calm, not be afraid, and have unusual courage. while I handle life problems. Here’s why.
In life, each of us will always have a series of spiritually-led opportunities totally disguised as troubles and challenges. However, it’s when we don’t allow our emotions to go into overdrive can the Creator direct our paths. That ‘s either speaking to our minds directly, through someone close, or someone who we would never think possible. And so, the key is to learn how to recognize His voice.
What a lot of people don’t quite understand is there’s a spiritual solution for nearly every problem in life. If we don’t, however, have emotional control, we might fight the people that God sends to help sustain us.
Typically, we reject Godsent people because we don’t recognize God in the middle of stressful situations . To make matters worse, our past often twists how we see our present. As a result, we read into it a prejudiced prejudged disposition based on past experiences. Meanwhile, disillusioned, we’re not seeing the bigger picture. We’re not realizing that God has brought us to a place where He is demanding maturity. He’s insisting that we don’t tackle our problems until we receive clear directions from Him.
Adversity is the Creator’s freeway to a deeper relationship with Him
I can always tell when I need to spend more time with God. People really start getting on my nerves. That’s a sign not that they need to change, but that I should spend time alone in His presence. That means getting centered so I can face life challenges and operate from a position of strength and not strain.
Some of you are hanging by a thread at a breaking point. You’re in a battle that you can’t fathom how to get out of and win. Part of you may want to throw in the towel because you’re tired and discouraged. In spite of this, you can’t quit. You’re in the kind of struggle that doesn’t afford you that luxury. Therefore, you’ve got to stand there and fight. Although, until you realize that God is always in the midst of your struggles, discouragement may live in your mind. You won’t find the courage to take leaps of faith.
For every problem is a place for God to reveal Himself to you. He wants do something great in your life that He has never done before. This alertness to opportunities enables you to take the crisis, transform it into a benefit, and have a fresh experience. As well, you will learn something new about yourself and life that stays with you forever.
I have had some of my best experiences with God when I was at my lowest point. I must say, though, when He delivers you out of an awful situation, He brings you so completely out. That is so much so that you almost forget how hard the battle was. In fact, people may not even believe your story.
God gives us a real strategy when we make a sanctuary out of our problems.
For instance, like most people, I hate the hardships that COVID-19 is causing. But I also know that God is using the pandemic to push some of us to another dimension.
I have never contracted the virus. Still. I’ve been in some storms because of it that took me out of my comfort zone. I’m glad the storms blew me to a much-needed change and into a new life. Looking back now I would rather have a divine strategy than masses of resources to get me through. Why?
Well, it’s a fact that people that have no strategy will almost certainly lose resources. Don’t believe me? Research the stats on people who win millions playing the lottery. Often without a strategy, the average winner is completely broke after just three years of cashing their check. But when God gives you a strategy you can take that to the bank and overcome anything in life. That I know for certain.
