5 Ways To Really Identify Your SOUL MATE

Your soul mate is a partner who not only lights your fire but also enhances your life. He is right there with you, side by side. When the ideal person comes along you may not be sure he is “the one”. And so, here are five ways to identify your soul mate.

CHEMISTRY

Without question, first and foremost, from the get-go, you’ll have chemistry.  It lays the foundation of your desire for each other and it’s more than just physical. Because it’s a chemical attraction, chemistry never fades easily. It can last a few weeks to several decades with the average being 3-18 years. It is just the beginning of what’s to come.  Everything just seems better when a man you have chemistry with is with you and he’s worth waiting for.

CONNECtion

The next thing you’ll have is a genuine connection. With a soul mate, needless to say, the sexual connection is strong. However, the relationship will have other important connections such as spiritual, intellectual, and special interests bonds that must be qualified. They are the cement that enables your relationship to strengthen. Also, these connections create a mutual need to be together. They have the potential to effectively take the relationship smoothly past middle-age.

wholeness

Only someone whole can complement your life and, therefore, become your primary soul mate. A lot of relationships are built on codependency–one person is broken and so is the other. And so, they both are looking to fill a void to complete themselves.

Codependency could feel like love or chemistry because the couple must be around each other 24/7, but it’s not. It’s dysfunctional. Neither should venture into a serious relationship until they are whole. To set yourself up for your soul mate, it’s better to be alone, take the time to heal the broken areas within yourself, and grow than to feed the loneliness first.

SENSE OF SELF

If you don’t have a sense of purpose or know who you are, you aren’t ready for your primary soulmate. That man is for your purpose and you for his. Inevitably, your purpose will change your life.  And so, the last thing you want to do is tie the knot and then discover your purpose.  What happens if after you find your purpose you realize that you are not the same person who said: “I do”? Or your spouse finds his purpose and now he knows who he is and an incompatible version of him married you? Then one of two things will happen. Either you will sacrifice your purpose, or your spouse will sacrifice theirs, for the marriage. Then your marriage becomes more important than the reason why you were born. Or you have to go through the painful process of sacrificing the marriage for your purpose.

Divine CONFIRMATION

Last in order, but not least in importance, you need a Word from God. Your spiritual life is connected to your romantic relationships. It’s all one. Therefore, if God isn’t giving you the green light, then you should slow down or slam on the breaks.  He will always confirm whether the man you are with is your primary soul mate by showing that you that your relationship has all of the above or more.
