Does a 9 to 5 REALly offer job security?

In objective reality, security does not exist. The feeling of security is merely an emotion.  Therefore, if a woman believes she is secure, she will experience the peace of mind that comes along with it. This is the main reason why women seek and keep jobs, especially at large corporations. They believe they’re secure because of the sheer size and immense wealth of the entity. In exchange for this delusion, yet feel-good emotion, they trade their real opportunity to secure their financial future. Certainly, exceptions include CEO’s and Presidents earning seven figures because of the high value they bring to the table.  Ninety percent of those positions are held by men though.

Why most PEOPLE HAVE JOBS

More than half of American employees spend more than they earn. Over 30 percent have student loan debt. Many wind up needing their job so badly that they’ll never have the opportunity to break free. The main reason why the majority of people have jobs, however, is they are unaware of how to earn the same income (or more) without working for someone. Unfortunately, business acumen and skills are taught in schools, but building a fortune is not.

WHY RICH PEOPLE AVOID UNPROFITABLE ACTIVITY

Becoming wealthy is a skill of its own, unrelated to what you actually do or what industry you work in. The rich avoid unprofitable activities like the plague. That’s one of the greatest lessons only a few of us are ever taught. If a millionaire can’t generate a substantial rate of return, they’ll walk away. The rich are hyper-conscious about money. They recognize that until they are truly financially independent, they are not really free.

WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE

I remember landing my first corporate job many years ago. For the first month, I was so motivated. By the sixth month, I felt like a caged bird. A couple of years later, I’d had enough. It took me about 12 years before I’d flat-out had it being an office slave. I needed freedom–a place to spread my wings while enjoying uncapped earning potential.

I knew that there had to be a better way — a saner way to approach work and build a life that is much more secure. It’s called work for yourself. It requires a lot of innovation, drive, and java but if you’re building something that you absolutely love, those things don’t matter. I preferred to hustle 24/7 than slave from 9 to 5. No longer held captive by the myth of job security, I knew that I have the skills, mindset and ability to take care of myself.

No ifs and buts about it, wealth unlocks doors and creates breaks faster than anything else. However, not everyone is born with an entrepreneurial spirit or a growth mindset. If you fall into that group, you can be someone’s employee and still become financially well off. It’s just that you won’t have the experience of riding in the driver’s seat and it’s just more difficult.

At the end of the day, do it your way as that is part of living on your own terms. Whichever way you choose, be the master of your money. Concentrate your thoughts and efforts on building a rock-solid financial future.
