Jow to look classy at the beach

How To Look Classy At The Beach

Can we be honest? Instagram wouldn’t be Instagram if you didn’t post a few photos of you looking great at the beach this summer. So here’s the key to nailing a classy look the next time you’re off to the beach.

Start with good quality swimwear

Your swimsuit can make or break your entire look. And so, Invest in a good quality one. Also, try on lots of options before buying one as you want the most flattering fit. A bikini may be your go-to to avoid tan lines. You may, however, discover that a one-piece fits well too. It tends to look more classy. Whichever you opt for, I always wear a matching chiffon cover-up instead of an oversized t-shit. It adds a touch of elegance to an overall look.

Consider wearing a hat and a pair of shades

Accessories are what will elevate your look. A straw hat is a favorite of mine. It provides shade and protects your hair and scalp but also says, class.
Whenever you are going out in the sun, always wear sunglasses. I am someone who does not look good in about 98% of sunglasses for some reason. It has to do with the shape of my face. If you share the same problem, take the time to make sure your sunglasses suit your face.

Wear proper footwear and carry the right bag

If you want a classy look, be sure to wear a nice pair of beach sandals or slippers rather than just your favorite flip-flops. The latter is for around the pool. Proper footwear can make all the difference and dresses up a beach look. I also always carry a beach bag with me to hold my essentials. There are many options to choose from i.e. a canvas bag or a straw tote. It’s the details that can complete an outfit.

Keep hair and makeup to a minimum.

Opt for tinted sunscreen, waterproof mascara, and some lip gloss. It’s about looking fresh-faced and not made-up. As well, sporting a messy low bun is a way to keep your hair off your face and look elegant. And one thing I tend to do on occasion in summer is lay out in the sun to get a tan. I do love the bronzed effect. It makes me look like a tanned goddess.
